SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the course is for students to learn the concept of management from social and organizational perspectives, to understand and interpret its evolution throughout history and the social, political and economic changes that have influenced this process, to distinguish the roles and functions of managers within the organization, and to gain knowledge about contemporary management techniques used in today's organizations.
Course Content: During the course, students are informed about the concept of management, the distinction between managers and leaders, management functions and levels, and contemporary management techniques.

Course Specific Rules

Students are required to attend the course having reviewed the lecture notes and articles uploaded to the system beforehand and being prepared to speak on the subject.
