SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of International Trade Operations II lecture is to give information about payment methods and their risks in international trade which is one of the most important steps in international trade process and also to teach the rudiments of export and import regulations and the processes of export and import operations.
Course Content: In this course, payment methods in International Trade are defined, case studies about the export and import types and processes are given, and also export regime decree, regulations and notices import regime decree, regulations and noticesare explained in detail.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:
Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) Students get knowledge about the International Payment Methods and their risks for exporters and importers.
  2) Students gain the ability to follow export regime decree, regulations and notices and import regime decree, regulations and notices that are needed to be followed in order to perform export and import operations.
  3) Students get the knowledge about the responsibilities on the export and import processes.
  4) Students will be equiped with the information about the aplication of Foreign Trade Legislation.
