Rail Systems Management Program General Information

The Rail Systems Management program is a multidisciplinary field that aims to train experts capable of managing the operational, technical, and economic processes of modern railway transportation with a holistic perspective. The educational process covers critical operational issues such as train traffic planning, the functioning of signaling systems, and the implementation of safety and security standards, alongside administrative competencies like logistics management, railway legislation, and cost analysis. In this program, students acquire extensive technical knowledge ranging from the superstructure elements that form the railway infrastructure to the mechanical properties of rolling stock; simultaneously, they learn sustainable and efficient management methods within the framework of RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety) standards.

Graduates can serve in a wide range of roles, from urban metro and tram networks to intercity freight and passenger transport, holding titles such as movement officer, traffic controller, station manager, or logistics planner. Especially in line with the vision of green logistics and digitalization, the need for professionals graduated from this program is increasing day by day as railway networks expand. The program aims to ensure that students fully adapt to the dynamic structure of the sector and international standards, supported by theoretical knowledge as well as technical field trips and simulation training.
