SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE |
Course Objectives: | This lesson deals with concepts encountered in transportation law. Apart from this, students learn the appropriate sources to refer to problems about law. This lesson is an introductory course to transportation regulations and legislation in the context national and European Union law. |
Course Content: | With this course, students will learn provisions of the Turkish Commercial Code about logistics under the relating to the contract of carriage and CMR agreements, ADR Agreements, TIR Convention, AETR Convention. |

1) General information are given about the Turkish Commercial Code that is the basic laws related to logistics. |

2) General information about Turkish Commercial Code which is the fundamental law about Logistics legislation. |

3) Turkish Road Transport Regulations are examined and information is given about the application. |
||
4) The rights and obligations of the parties in the contract (the sender, sent and carrier) will be examined. |
||
5) The provisions of international legislation in the field of logisitics (TIR, AETR, CMR, ADR etc. ) will be analyzed. |

6) EUROPEAN AGREEMENT CONCERNING THE WORK OF CREWS OFVEHICLES ENGAGED IN INTERNATIONALROADTRANSPORT (AETR) Convention general information: OBJECTIVES, LEGAL SCOPE, GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE, STRUCTURE, AETR RULES and etc. will be analyzed. |

7) International customs transit system created by TIR Convention and main procedures will be examined. |

8) CMR (Convention Marchandise Routier) document, the CMR system, in which cases it is applied, the responsibilities of the carrier and etc. will be analyzed. |

9) ADR Convention content and specifically the Article 2. will be analyzed. |

10) Main Transport Documents: Bill of lading, Multimodal bill of lading,Airway bill.
Road, rail or inland waterway transport documents, Courier receipts,CMR documents,Cargo insurance certificate, Packaging list, Delivery note will be examined.
