SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE |
Course Objectives: | The aim of the course is to introduce the field of neuroscience which have become popular in recent years and its subfields. It is aimed to examine the nervous system, senses and behaviors in the light of neuroscience starting from the cellular level to the behavioral level. In the second half of the course, popular neuroscience topics and widely used research methods will be explained. |
Course Content: | Starting from the brain anatomy, the nervous system, nerve cells and their structure, synaptic transmission and physiology of the senses will be explained. Sensory and motor systems, emotions, sleep and sleep disorders, and the neuroimaging techniques will be discussed. |
