The Computer Engineering (English) Undergraduate Program is an academically-oriented program positioned within the field of computer engineering and information technologies, structured in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process and the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The program’s level and field classifications are defined in alignment with national and international qualification frameworks.
The program is based on theoretical foundations, adopting a holistic engineering approach that covers software, hardware, and system design. Core areas such as algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, artificial intelligence, database systems, and cybersecurity are integrated within the program structure. The target student profile consists of individuals who possess analytical and critical thinking skills, strong problem-solving abilities, openness to interdisciplinary work, and a commitment to self-development in the field of information technologies. The educational process is conducted through theoretical courses, laboratory applications, project-based learning, teamwork, and work-based learning activities.
The program’s level and field codes are as follows: ISCED 1997 and ISCED 2011 Education Field Codes: 48 - Computing, 52 - Engineering; ISCED 2013 Education Field Codes: 61 - Information and Communication Technologies, 71 - Engineering; TQF (TYÇ) and TYYÇ Level: 6; TYYÇ Main Area Codes: 48 - Computing, 52 - Engineering; TYYÇ Qualification Type: Bachelor’s Degree with Academic Emphasis.
Program Specific Criteria:
PSC-1 (Mathematical and Theoretical Foundations): Mathematical and theoretical infrastructure required for modeling, analyzing, and solving computer engineering problems; provided through Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and Differential Equations courses.
PSC-2 (Algorithms and Computational Approach): Design and analysis of algorithms with effective use of data structures; supported by Data Structures, Algorithms, and Analysis of Algorithms courses.
PSC-3 (Computer Systems and System Software): Comprehensive understanding of computer systems at hardware, architectural, and operating system levels; provided through Digital Design, Computer Organization, Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, and System Programming courses.
PSC-4 (Software Development and System Design): Engineering approaches to software analysis, design, development, and testing processes; provided through Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Software Engineering, and Database Systems courses.
PSC-5 (Networks, Emerging Technologies, and Practical Experience): Integration of computer networks, distributed systems, and emerging fields such as AI, data science, and cybersecurity into the program, and gaining practical experience using modern engineering tools; achieved through relevant courses, laboratories, project-based learning, and the graduation project.
