The aim of this course is to strengthen students’ ability to cope with stress, uncertainty, and challenges they may encounter in professional life. By addressing both the individual and organizational dimensions of psychological resilience, the course enhances students’ competencies in emotional flexibility, problem-solving, optimism, and the effective use of social support mechanisms. In this way, it seeks to enable students to achieve sustainable success and well-being in their professional careers. |
| Course Content: |
This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the concept of psychological resilience and its applications in the workplace. Throughout the semester, students will examine how individuals cope with stress, uncertainty, and challenges in professional settings, gaining both theoretical and practical knowledge on topics such as burnout, crisis management, and emotional flexibility. From a positive psychology perspective, factors that nurture resilience—such as optimism, hope, and self-efficacy—will be discussed, while the role of social support systems and organizational climate in enhancing resilience will also be evaluated. The course integrates mindfulness, self-awareness, and self-compassion practices to foster individual growth, and employs case studies and applied exercises to equip students with skills directly transferable to working life. In addition, the design and implementation of resilience development programs will be addressed, enabling students to build a perspective on psychological resilience at both the individual and organizational levels. |
