SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE |
| Course Objectives: | This course includes international and national concepts and principles regulating employee and employer relations in work life. In the course, provisions of Labour Act No. 4857 and Trade Unions and Collective Labour Agreements Act No. 6356, as main legislations on reciprocal rights and liabilities of workers and employers will be taught. Another aim of the course is to introduce social policy field in broader sense as well as institutional structure, current concepts and practices. The course also aims to teach the historical evolution of labor relations and current technological and social conditions. |
| Course Content: | This course includes topics of individual labor law such as employment contract, types and termination, working time and of collective labor law such as unions, collective labor conflicts and solutions, collective bargaining. After labor and collective labor and trade unions legislations, it focuses on social policy field with its theoretical aspects and practical implications in Turkey and all over the world. This part contains decent work, employment status, care services, disadvantageous groups, flexible work, income inequality, remote working. |
