SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: This course involves a deep understanding of the dramatic impact of sustainability on business practices.
Course Content: The course will begin with a brief historical overview of the concept of sustainability and its origins. Following this, the Sustainable Development Goals and the policies countries have developed to achieve them will be explained. In subsequent weeks, the impact of sustainability on different business functions will be examined. Operation, finance, marketing, management, organization, human resources, innovation, and entrepreneurship will be discussed in terms of their relationship with sustainability. Each week will include practical examples and case studies to deepen the understanding of the topics.
