| Course Objectives: |
The aim of this course is to enable students to recognize the fundamental concepts of knowledge and science, understand the ethical and formal rules of academic writing, apply this knowledge by accessing reliable sources, analyze different types of academic texts, develop research questions and hypotheses to create academic texts, and critically evaluate both written and oral presentations. |
| Course Content: |
This course begins with the introduction of the fundamental concepts of knowledge and science in order to help students take their first steps into the process of scientific writing. Emphasizing the importance of academic thinking and a critical perspective, it aims to enable students to grasp the ethical and formal features of academic writing. Subsequently, the selection of reliable sources, literature review, and citation rules are addressed to ensure the correct application of knowledge. By examining different types of academic texts, comparisons and analyses of various structures are carried out. At this stage, students are encouraged to create their own texts through the development of research questions and hypotheses. In the following weeks, the writing of the introduction, methodology, findings, and conclusion sections is emphasized to demonstrate the integrity of an academic study. By the end of the process, students are expected to deliver written and oral presentations, critically evaluate texts, and provide peer feedback. |
