| Course Objectives: |
The objective of this course is to introduce the macroeconomics concepts to the students and to teach how the economy works as a whole. Course will study national income, economic growth, inflation, government expenditures, debt subjects and the relation between them. In addition, course will examine how monetary system, monetary and fiscal policies affect macroeconomic variables. |
| Course Content: |
National income accounting and components, measuring cost of living and consumer price index, production and growth, saving, investment and financial system, monetary system, aggregate demand and aggregate suply, open economy macroeconomics, foreign exchange and balance of payments, monetary and fiscal policies, inflation and unemployment. |
