PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Programme Educational Objectives are the those describing what the graduates are expected to attain or achieve in their academic and/or professional life after a few years of graduation. In this context, Programme Educational Objectives defined for this programme are as follows:
1 To gain the ability to understand the basic components of rail systems (infrastructure, superstructure, vehicles, signaling, energy systems, etc.) and the operating principles and characteristics (TYYÇ Field Knowledge) of different rail transportation types (metro, tram, suburban, freight train, etc.) and to use this information effectively in operating processes.
2 To have the competence to implement the basic processes of passenger and freight transport operations in rail systems and to develop solution suggestions by analyzing the problems encountered in these processes (TYYÇ Application, Analysis).
3 To grow up as individuals who are sensitive to professional ethical principles, responsible and sustainable for a future by embracing the importance of safety, security and quality standards in rail system management (TYYÇ Responsibility, Ethical Values).
4 To contribute to harmonious and productive working environments by developing effective communication skills with different stakeholders (passengers, colleagues, managers, etc.) and cooperation within the team in rail system management.
5 Gaining effective problem solving and correct decision making skills through analytical thinking skills by identifying unexpected situations and operational disruptions that may be encountered in rail system operations.
6 To follow technological developments and innovations in the rail systems sector, to adopt the principle of lifelong learning and to adapt to the sector by continuously improving professional knowledge and skills.
